PSC Construction Update

Construction on PSC continues in the sub-basement and mechanical wings. The contractor is placing concrete for the sub-basement columns and the mechanical wing second floor. Inspections of the sheeting/shoring and the tower crane were performed after the earthquake and the hurricane, no deficiencies were noted.

The sidewalk north of Farm Drive in front of the Cambridge Community will remain closed until the end of October.  The contractor is installing the steam lines for the PSC building in that area.  We have installed signage directing the pedestrians around the construction area and not in the roadway of Farm Drive.  With classes beginning tomorrow, extra signage and police aides will be in place to ensure pedestrians are following the designated paths.
